editors available for anything other than the registered version', but of

No no. There is IMO a BIG difference between discussing Quake
hacking/editing and releasing small utils to demonstrate the concepts,
and releasing fully-fledged software to modify Quake with (ie. hacking
tools vs. end-user products.)

I can't see any harm in the discussion or release of viewers/small
editors/file format converters/etc. as long as they are not "marketed" as
Quake-editors.

BTW: until a Quake non-test version comes out this is all we have to play
around with anyway, so there's no need trying to stop us now :)

Well, it's a bit hard to speculate on that until the shareware finally
hits the net.
