Never saw any. Each time I tried to analyse edge lists, they always
turned out to be closed polygons (with possible holes).
Non-closed polygon is impossible, unless there's a bug somewhere.

That would make one mother of a garbage on screen.

Such effect can happen when you pervert some of the unknown
bits. But I don't remember which ones (leaves? surfaces?).
