4. How to submit a Contribution

The current contact for submissions is Bernd Kreimeier ( bk@gamers.org). There is a submission e-mail address in preparation, which will be automatically archived with Hypermail. For the time being, please add [Q2DP] to the Subject-line of the mail, to enable procmail filtering.

There are two main document collections, which have different sources, SGML and DOC++, and submission is slightly different (see below). In both cases the following applies:

• please make sure to provide your full name in the way you want to be added. Feel free to add a nickname, but kindly provide your real name. Please provide an e-mail, too. The e-mail is not added to the documents, it is used for feedback from the Q2DP.
• please check the Q2DP Glossary if you are going to use acronyms, abbreviations or technical terms. If the terminology is different, please try to stick to the one in the glossary, or submit a correction. If you introduce new terms, please make sure to submit them to the glossary.
• please list the 6 digit release date identifiers of the document or source archive. E.g. this document belongs to Q2DP 980318.

Rulke of thumb for the text format: if in doubt, keep it simple. The documents are updated frequently, and mirrored after 24 hours on the primary site, so diff/patch is currently not an option. Plain text is sufficient - just focus on the content.
