The "Classic" PC Games Archives
                    ===============================

This is a copy of the original PC Games Archives that was maintained
during the early nineties on ftp.uml.edu by Brian O'Neill, and from
November 1995 until the summer of 1996 on ftp.uwp.edu by David Datta.
The original site was discontinued in June 1997, and most mirrors have
since removed their copies.

Out of respect for the historic significance of this first large games
archive, ftp.gamers.org has retrieved a copy of it from the depths
of the Internet :) and gives it a new home for as long as this site
may exist.

Please see the file README for additional information. Enjoy!

Below follow the relevant parts of the original README file. A partial
Index.list has also been restored. Please note that the official company
directories for Apogee/3DRealms, Epic, Id and MVP have been removed as
these have since gained their own company sites:

The PC Games Archives

The PCGA is an unfunded, unsanctioned service to provide a central
repository for the PC Gaming community. All manner of "freely distributable"

All items stored in the archives are in either self-extracting format, or
