The methodical destruction of slow moving vehicles by: Dave Anderson Rob Gagne Dimitry Korsunsky Michael D'Auria The objective: Currently to drive around in your tank and destroy your opponent. The current version only supports network and modem play for opponents, the final version will hopefully have computer players. The game currently supports up to four players. To install the game go to the unzip directory and double click on setup, this will start the setup which will guide you through the setup. If directx is not installed you can have the setup do this for you by picking the typical setup, if you already have directx you can pick custom setup and uncheck the direct x box to speed up the install Note: under NT 4.0 the install will not display these options. Once the game is installed all you need to do is go to the start menu, pick programs, and then go to "The methodical destruction of slow moving vehicles" and double click on tanks. The next step is to go through the wizard which will allow you to create a game or connect to an existing game. The creator has complete control over how many people (up to four) can enter, once he hits the finish button no one else may enter the game. At this point the creator must pick a map for everyone to use and then the game will start. The game is very straightforward, here are the controls: a - rotate turret left s - rotate turret right up arrow - forward down arrow - backwards left arrow - turn tank left right arrow - turn tank right tab - changes weapons (cycles through weapons) number keys - changes weapons (picks a specific weapon) t - turbo (you get a limited amount) k - send messages r - repair tank (takes a long time) You can also customize these keys by using the wizard. This game has alot of weapons that you can use, among them regular shot - it hits something and blows it up cut shot - it will cut through objects and blow them up angled shot - launches up and comes down to destroy an area rockets - locks and follows target mines - you can always see them, but the enemy can't see them till they get close pill boxes - round turrets that shoot any tanks that come by. Well that it for the most part, alot of things still need to be added so any suggestions are welcome. dauria@cs.umb.edu
