The idea took off quickly and between the time this started and the release date, many mappers came and went. A lot of map slots changed hands. Somewhere during development, Team leader Sparky decided to pass the Leadership role on to myself (Doom_Dude) and since I was already doing as much as possible, including maintaining the website, I decided to take the lead. Anyhow a lot of hard working Doom Community members helped in getting this done. Without the dedicated level designers this project wouldn't have made it to finish. Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped out. I'm so glad it's done. :) Gameplay Notes : As of the time of release the doom port Doomsday has issues with maps 06 and 27 which causes the port to crash. It is recommended you play using ZDoom, ZDoomGL, Prboom, GZDoom, Risen 3D and Legacy. This megawad does not contain secret levels so don't go looking for hidden switches in maps 15 and 31. When you play through the exit switches will take you from map 15 to 31 then 32 and back to 16 without you having to search for secrets to get to these maps... It's up to you, the player as to how you play this megawad. Either play each map from a 'pistol start'or play it through without restarting each level.. This is a single player megawad with coop starts included. We didn't have time to playtest the Coop gameplay so play with that in mind. ============================================================================== Additional Credits to : id software Espi, Mystic, Doom_Dude, iori, Doom_Goat, DoomedAce Lutrov71 and Danimetal for providing various textures. iori for the excellent skies. I didn't want to fill an entry map with Barons and Viles so if you think this is easy, well it was never really meant to be very hard.. ============================================================================== Level : Map02 Level name : Wet Works Author(s) : Andy 'mystic' Mckie Build time : I really have no idea but it was fun Editor(s) used : DETH, DeePsea, ZenNode Authors comments : Blame Doom_Dude if this isn't as good as map01. ============================================================================== Level : Map03 Level name : Doomsday Machine Author(s) : Derek "Dittohead" Braun Build time : Many Hours Editor(s) used : Doom Builder Authors comments : I've always wanted to make a water-front base level, and this is it. ============================================================================== Level : Map04 Level name : Shotfun Author(s) : Frades Build time : 1 year on and off. mostly off.. Editor(s) used : Doom Builder 1.64-1.67, Slade 1.01 Authors comments : First map I made when I came back to the Doom community last year. Anyway, it's pretty much completely nonlinear, so if that's not your style, then you won't like this map. ============================================================================== Level : Map10 Level name : Processing Station 10-29:71 Author(s) : Liam "Aliotroph?" McMullin Build time : close to that of Daikatana Editor(s) used : DeePsea 11.65+, Doom Builder 1.00-1.66 Authors comments : Yeah, it's damn dark. ============================================================================== Level : Map11 Level name : The Ignorant Author(s) : Trevor "iori" Primmett Build time : ~4 mo off and on Editor(s) used : Wadauthor 1.30 Authors comments : My first ever [completed, releasable] map ============================================================================== Level : Map12 Level name : Infested Author(s) : Espi Build time : No idea. >_> Editor(s) used : WadEd, XWE, WinDEU, WinTEX Author's comments : It's a classical techmap, with some new textures to liven things up. It doesn't make any more sense than any usual Doom map, but it has a semi-realistic feel to it. ============================================================================== Level : Map13 Level name : Apocalypse Lab Author(s) : DarkWolf Build time : Was too long ago to remember Editor(s) used : WinDeu Authors comments : Well crap, had I known NDCP was going to take forever I would have made it bigger and better. ============================================================================== Level : Map14 Level name : Jail Break Author : Ninja_of_DooM (Andrew Fernie) Build time : 4 months Editor(s) used : Deepsea V11.75 Authors comments : I finished my map 4 months after we started. FYI: the word 'campus' does not imply that this wad is based around any existing architecture or persons. They're just randomly thought up and connected hallways. ============================================================================== Level : Map19 Level name : Maintenance Area Author(s) : DaniMetal Build time : About a month, in and out. So he aske me (Doom_Dude) if I would finish the map. I only had 1½ days to try and finish what was an older copy of his map. At the point that you enter a round outside area with Cacodemons you have entered my area and left BlackFyre's. Like I said I had 1½ days... I think Doom Builder is on Fyre. heh... ============================================================================== Level : Map26 Level name : Silenced Progression Author(s) : Agent Spork Build time : Too Long Editor(s) used : Doom Builder 1.67 Authors comments : I smell like cheese ============================================================================== Level : Map27 Level name : No Brakes Author(s) : Lutrov71 & Cyber-Menace Build time : Since the birth of Community Chest 2. It just happens that we did need it afterall. Thankfully those who helped make the level did a spiffy job to make things interesting. If your really interested in who did what parts, check out the screenie on the NDCP site (link at top of readme). ============================================================================== Level : Map32 Level name : In The Castle of the Wolf Author(s) : Rex Claussen Build time : Many Hours Editor(s) used : Wad Author Authors comments : Castle Wolfenstein redux ============================================================================== * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may not use this level as a base to build additional levels.
