=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : Boom Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : Nanopineapple 2018 Filename : pnano18.wad Release date : 1 January 2019 Author : Sophie Kirschner Email Address : [redacted] Description : Thirty-two maps, all first made during November and then further refined in December 2018. Wow, talk about an intense month... Nanopineapple was designed for Boom ports and pistol starts. No jumping, crouching, or free aim! This breaks the WAD. Infinite height is encouraged for a more challenging experience, but turning it off won't break the game. Enjoy! =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : 32 Sounds : No Music : Yes Graphics : Yes Dehacked/BEX Patch : Yes Demos : No Other : No * Play Information * Game : DOOM2 Single Player : Designed for Cooperative 2-4 Player : Player starts only Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Supported for some maps (list below) Other game styles : None Difficulty Settings : Yes * Construction * Base : New from scratch Editor(s) used : GZDoom Builder Bugfix, SLADE3 Tested With : Zandronum v2.1.2, PrBoom+ 2.5.1.4 * Copyright / Permissions * My work and this readme are released as CC0 "No Rights Reserved", A.K.A. in the public domain. https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/public-domain/cc0/ PLEASE NOTE that not all resources in this WAD are my original work. Though I believe that all of this is fair use, this detail is important because it is not safe to assume that *everything* included in this WAD must be in the public domain just because my own work on the WAD is. All of the music is MIDIs I found on the internet, and the graphics are mostly edits of Doom 2 images. Below, you can find credit for every midi and image included in the WAD. Everything else is entirely my own work. =========================================================================== * Deathmatch info * These maps all have deathmatch starts and at least a little bit of attention paid to seeing that layout and item pickups should present for some interesting deathmatch games: MAP01 "Urban Infestation" MAP03 "Bullet Town" MAP04 "Courtyard" MAP05 "Rush Hour" MAP08 "Glow" MAP11 "Tiny Tech" MAP13 "Zombie Cavern" MAP18 "Down Umber" MAP24 "Hellfire" MAP26 "Red Fortress" MAP27 "Explosive" MAP30 "Impact" =========================================================================== * Music Credit * Title Screen D_DM2TTL: Strength of a Thousand Men (Two Steps from Hell) https://www.cprato.com/en/midi/details/92/two-steps-from-hell-strength-of-a-thousand-men Intermission D_DM2INT: Valentina (Super Mario RPG) (Sequenced by "Joe Cortez") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/92a68c8a23c975b5c385519abd690e58.html Cluster Text D_READ_M: Celes (Final Fantasy III) https://www.vgmusic.com/file/b9c802b94f3914f1d13de1df745ae2b2.html#disqus_thread Unused Cast Roll D_ENDOOM: End Credits (Donkey Kong Country) (Sequenced by "Andreas and Savas Oulassoglou") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/a84aa383e74f46df81d97073f26c2d2f.html MAP01 "Urban Infestation" D_RUNNIN: Temple Tempest (Donkey Kong Country) (Sequenced by "Zero Beats") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/2afbe42de73cbd8aa5aa6a633df97311.html MAP02 "Lost City" D_STALKS: Hot Pursuit (Donkey Kong Country) (Sequenced by "Dave Phaneuf") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/25a9b66b2ec400b04ab82f43b9b1a7c6.html MAP03 "Bullet Town" D_COUNTD: Mine (Donkey Kong Country 2) (Sequenced by "Jarel Jones") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/0ad36589c7568774eff41af1526a3f6a.html MAP04 "Courtyard" D_BETWEE: Gymnopedie No. 1 (Composed by Erik Satie) http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bbowman/midi/satie/ MAP05 "Rush Hour" D_DOOM: Carson City (Wild Guns) (Sequenced by "M4ST3R") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/fc4e9e27bb19ae994ba87a4c73d29bc6.html MAP06 "Corridor Horror" D_THE_DA: Fear Factory (Donkey Kong Country) (Sequenced by "Sky") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/954430a8a8d992bde28783f9f8824629.html MAP07 "Boxing Day" D_SHAWN: Sexy Wizard (Super Tetris 3) (Sequenced by "JILost") https://www.vgmusic.com/file/09fb262ff96c60f08307461a2bd645ef.html MAP08 "Glow" D_DDTBLU: Battle with Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy V) https://www.vgmusic.com/file/f7ab0e592d5093491d2e53493820f502.html MAP09 "Mechanical Descent" D_IN_CIT: Temple (ActRaiser) (Sequenced by "Jorge D. (Mainly ZZZFACE3.) It's proven difficult to track down the origin of the image of Hitler that I used. It appears to be a colorization of a black-and-white photo taken from the Bettmann Archive, captured in 1993. Sadly, the history of the colorized image is buried in an endless deluge of search result pages sharing similar titles, including "Were Hitler's eye's Blue or Brown?????" https://www.gettyimages.fi/detail/news-photo/munich-germany-this-portrait-study-of-adolf-hitler-is-said-news-photo/515570920
