The air rising up from it is foul and composed of bones and twisted living parts of men. An aura of evil and power radiates from it's core, it must be rooted in the lower levels, the source of the invasion must be there. You stealthily begin desending the stairs into the levels below. Darkness shrouds you and the air grows frightfully cold and clammy. Your foot misses a step and you plunge into an abyss. You awaken again, probably hours later hearing growls, screams and the scraping of claws surrounding you. This place is different, warm, living, breathing, and it smells of death and rotting flesh. You wonder how you survived the fall and how far earth's surface lies. At the moment, it might as well have been a hundred miles. All your weapons didn't endure quite as well as you, they lie about broken and maimed, you toss them away in disgust and pull a pistol from it's place, snuggled warmly against your leg, you make your way down this new staircase before you enclosed by walls. But you know you can't stay here forever, there seems to be a large room ahead past a small pillar with creatures eyes seemingly embedded in it. You trudge ahead, ready for whatever wicked inabitants await... This is my first released level, so feel free to contact and offer constructive criticism. Whether it be poor gameplay, bugs, misaligned textures, poor attention to detail, you name it -- I'd like to hear from you. And send me any demos you make, I'd love to have them, especially if you beat the time on this one. If this level is received well I may make it into a short series of 4-7 levels, of which this would actually be the 2nd map. I hope you enjoy playing this, cause it was a blast to make it! A GREAT BIG THANKS to: the Doom Community mainly the members of Doomworld for putting up with all my badgering questions in Editing. Thanks to all the members who play-tested my level and gave me lots of constructive criticism and expert advice, mainly Ragnew, who provided me with a UV demo, also Udderdude, and Kwad Damji (Spelling?) who tested. You've been a major help guys.
