Author Info : He's a Goober Description : Rather tense little deathmatch map based in an abandoned asteroid mine. Lots of ambush points, things you'll miss first time, a few scripted effects, and the best part is the dim lighting. Possibly a bit big for 2-4 players, but should prove fun with 8 players. Additional Credits to : id Software for making Doom in the first place. Randy Heit for developing ZDoom. Maonth and Deathwarrior for playtesting (even though I released this map before I got feedback from them :P) =========================================================================== * Play Information * Executable needed : ZDoom v1.23b28 minimum IWAD Needed : DOOM2.WAD Map # : MAP01 Single Player : There is a start point, don't know why you'd bother though... This certainly isn't the first WAD I've started since that release, but I haven't had the drive to make Doom maps for a couple of months now. This map will get me back in to the map making mind hopefully. The next release after this will either be a bonus map for Doom - The Arcade Game or the first episode in The Gateway Experiments (a story-driven series that I plan on distributing via the /idgames archives only). And now for some general info on the map itself... I've recently set my LAN back up at home, and as a result have gotten back in to deathmatching a bit (Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault is kinda kewl, specially if both players take the sniper rifle). After being accused of knowing every Doom map backwards (which is sorta true) and only using the biggest weapons I can find (this after proving I can kick ass equally with big and small weapons), I decided I should make a map. Of course, I'll know this map backwards too, but meh, unless my brother or father wants to learn Doom editing they'll have to live with what I give them :P Oh, and no bitching about the amount of detail in this map, I know some places are less detailed than others *cough*indoors*cough* but I just couldn't give a damn right now. Have fun instead of bitching. Remember, I'm looking for people to work on Doom - The Arcade Game. It's a huge project that can't be done by 1 person alone in an acceptable time frame. That fact won't stop me from trying to get it done, but the more people that work on it the better. =========================================================================== * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use the contents of this file as a base for modification or reuse.
