=========================================================================== Advanced engine needed : None Primary purpose : Audio enhancement =========================================================================== Title : 11kh Sound Effects Filename : 11khsnd.zip Release date : 1/2/2020 Author : Seed Email Address : [redacted] Other Files By Author : None Misc. Author Info : Nothing to say really. Description : This is a tiny WAD that aims to bring the experience slightly closer to some console ports of classic Doom, specifically the Xbox and Xbox 360 versions. These ports did not take the playback speed of the sound effects into consideration, which resulted in the few effects that were sampled at 22050 kh (the item respawn sound, and the SSG reload sounds) to be played back at half their original speed. The sounds in this WAD have been altered to replicate the way they sound like in these ports, with 100% accuracy. Due to its nature, it should be compatible with virtually every port out there. Additional Credits to : Edward850 for help in making this. =========================================================================== * What is included * New levels : None Sounds : Yes Music : No Graphics : No Dehacked/BEX Patch : No Demos : No Other : No Other files required : None * Play Information * Game : DOOM/DOOM2 Map # : N/A Single Player : N/A Cooperative 2-4 Player : N/A Deathmatch 2-4 Player : N/A Other game styles : N/A Difficulty Settings : N/A * Construction * Base : Vanilla Doom's sounds Build Time : A few days Editor(s) used : SLADE3, Hexplorer Known Bugs : None May Not Run With : None Tested With : GZdoom, Prboom-plus 2.5.1.5, Eternity Engine * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use the contents of this file as a base for modification or reuse.
