--DOOMED v1.0-- Doomed is basically a patch I wrote to just make doom a lot harder. I'm not one of those guys that thinks I need a real challenge and decided to make one of those impossible patches. As a matter of fact I'm probably far from it. I can just barely beat e1m1 on nightmare. I just thought this would be a cool project to work on. This text was written a few days after I finished DOOMED, so I can't remember all the stuff. DOOM I patch only! --THE STORY-- Ripping demons to shreds, pumping lead into old friends, looking the ghastly baron right into his eyes - all of this has become your fate. Seems like for every demon you kill, the next room holds five more. Your mind begins to spin with a strong hate, and fear. After this long you have come to live knowing one of them will put you away. You take this rest, in an alcove of a dark hallway and begin to get visions, images of...? Yes. You did have a life before the army, and yes, you had almost forgot. Rage clouds your brain as you begin to hear a demonic chant down the hall. Why you? Why did you get rewarded with the ability to last this long? You leap from the alcove and start up the saw. Running at the pink monster, you notice something odd. You've never seen one open its mouth like that. Not some 30 feet away anyhow. Maybe he expects me to run right into his mouth? Just then a gigantic flame which heats the hallway is shot from the demon's mouth! Your reflexes send you to the wall, and just as the missile passes by, it begins to curve! You take severe burns but manage to pump a few shells out to drop the thing. You return to Phobos to make sure those things hadn't come back. And you see they have as you enter the hanger. The stench of death you remember so well is here as well. They seem more evil than ever, and if you killed them before and they simply got back up... who's to say they wont do it again? Will it ever end? You gotta end this, this time its not just for everyone else... its for yourself as well. You can only rest when these creatures are all dead and gone. You must go on. --THE ENEMY-- Not only have they all came back, they have all evolved! *gasp* Former Humans: These zombies have decided to pick up the plasma rifles that you must have left behind. They now fire single shot plasma rifles. They are weighed down a bit though. Former Human Sergeants: These guys also upgraded their arsenal. They fire chainguns! Kill one and you are rewarded with the chaingun. Imps: Toss meaner fireballs than before. Oh yea, you might wanna make sure they're dead before you leave 'em. Demons: Thats right! They now hurl heat seaking fireballs at you! Spectres: More like a ghost- they fly, and they'll fly through walls to hunt you down! Also toss ghostly fireballs. Lost Souls: Less hit points to take 'em out, meaner bite, faster. Cacodemons: Faster, toss weaker yet semi-invisible fireballs at you. Super Cacodemons!: Slower, meaner, stronger, spit out lost souls! Barons: Full of energy! Overflowing with it! They weild the Arch-Vile attack. Cyberdemon: Wow, now you've got a problem. Fire dual rockets. Spiderdemon: Super plasma rifle. --OTHER STUFF-- BFG- It has become unstable, limited range. all shotguns are replaced with chainguns, shotgun shells by shotguns the large tree was replaced by the Super Cacodemon (try e3m1 heh heh heh...) there may be other stuff, i dont remember it all this is a dehacked patch, creditz to the dehacked guy :) bugz--- none i know of, if you think its werth yer time, and you know of any, email me.
