"Scourge done Slick lite" is an extension to "Scourge done Slick", comprising a run through Scourge on Skill 0, instead of Skill 3. Using bunny-hopping, better running, and the differences between Easy and Nightmare skills, we were able to produce a run through this Ritual mission pack in exactly 500 seconds, 166 seconds quicker than the original "Scourge done Slick" run. Speed-Running Law #1: Never think a run is anywhere near optimal. It can always be done faster than you expect it is possible - even when you take into account Speed-Running Law #1. (c: The technique of bunny-hopping to increase velocity in Quake1 has been known about for about a year; QdQ first published a PlanetQuake article about it (and it's companion technique of zigzagging) on 98/10/11. For an explanation of the technique and other bugs and tricks, you can refer to that article and it's sequel at .
