=========================================================================== March 8th, 1998 - 11:30PM. Just in time before the deadline date [3/9/98]! =========================================================================== Title : Operation Elimination Filename : opelim.bsp Author : Owen Marlowe Email Address : impaler-z@geocities.com http://www.geocities.com/timessquare/arcade/9497 Level Designer for The Coven http://www.planetquake.com/thecoven Map description : My first Quake2 SPQ/DM Map specifically built for the "Best of the Net" contest. If the surroundings look familiar, it's because I've used the Base theme to build this level. Play Information : This map basically starts off where Quake2 ended. You thought all the Strogg were dead?? Think again! The Strogg have secretly built a remote base in the mountains. Your mission is to infiltrate the base and shut down the computer controlling a remote power grid. Oh..and you have to get out alive too. How to play : Place opelim.bsp in your Quake2/baseq2/maps directory. Start Quake2, bring up the console and enter "map opelim". And, by all means have fun! Other maps by me : Quake: Gordian's Brick [gbrick.zip] - SPQ Map Guillotine's Blade [gblade.zip] - DM Map Quake2: DM Levels currently being built for the Disposable Heroes Project: www.planetquake.com/thecoven Additional Credits : id Software for Quake2 Robert Duffy for the awesome editor QERadiant Zanshin for the releasing his modified QBSP tools "rust" for some informative tutorial information Quake2 Workshop for additional tutorial information Mike Malakhov for the CRBot Misc. Comments: : DM Playtesting using the *excellent* CRbot. SPQ Playtesting by me. Please let me know what you think of this map. Since I couldn't let others playtest this map, various aspects of SPQ and DM play might seem strange or difficult. I've purposely left one of the doors "switched" as a good tool for planning your attack in Team Play. =========================================================================== * Play Information * Single Player : Yes Cooperative : No Deathmatch : Yes Difficulty Settings : Yes, but not noticeable New Sounds : No New Graphics : No New Music : No Track No. : 6 * Construction * Base : New level from scratch.
