Well, this does the same thing. When you use the scanner (I reused the icon for the rebreather, because I don't feel like making another icon) it will pop up a display on your screen that scans out 600 units, and places dots on the display in relation to where you are and which direction you're facing. It is limited in height. (It will not display anything more than 100 units above/below you) It also only displays living monsters and players. (Displaying everything made it too powerful.) Enjoy.
