How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Create a subdirectory in your quake directory. Name it, let's say, 'diabweap'. Unzip dbwp074.zip into this directory. Start quake with the '-game diabweap' argument, and away you go. Author Information ------------------ I'm a 17 year old senior in Juneau, Alaska, and (obviously) an avid Quake player. Multiplay Quake is a passion, and my friends and I frequently get together a lan over weekends. Quake is our main obsesion, but Diablo steals some of our time, too. This patch was inspired by those hours playing Diablo. Known Bugs/Issues ----------------- Probably a few in there, that's why this is a beta. I would very much appreciate any feedback/bug-reports/death-threats. Er...scratch that last one. The speeds/powers/etc of the spells are subject to change as I get more feedback. Please tell me if you think something is way too overpowered or over-balanced. For example, during the first beta-test, Clint demonstrated rather effectively that chain-lightning was _way_ too powerful. Once he hit a high enough level, there was no stopping him (this is one I'm still nervous about, actually). Please take the time to get used to the new bindings. The included config.cfg file contains the config that I use, if that helps at all. OK, OK, basically, I starve for more input!
