Rogue Weapons Fix -------------------------------------------------------- Title: Weapons Fix Version: 1.0 Authors: Vikram Thanki (Returner) Details: This fixes a huge glaring problem in deathmatch with Mission Pack #2: the fact that the 'special weapons' (multi rockets, lava nails, plasma) are so cheap! No, this doesn't make them weaker. I'm not THAT good of a QuakeC programmer :). Instead, this patch makes the ammo boxes for them. Details: Ammo Normally got Now you get Lava Nails 25/small box 15/small box Multi Rockets 5/small box 4/small box Plasma 6/small box 1/small box Also, the Multi Rocket Launcher has been toned down too; it sucks up *4* multi rockets PER SHOT! Yes, this means you can only get one salvo of rockets out of one box of multi rockets. The Multi Grenades, which are still relatively wimpy IMHO, have been left alone, but the Multi Rockets eat ammo like crazy. Also, there are new ammo limits imposed: You can only carry 40 Multi Rockets (think I should bring it lower? :) and 15 plasma balls. Before you unzip it though, you need to do a little job on the MP#2 pak file first. Open the pak0.pak file in the rogue directory. Extract the progs.dat, then delete it from the pak file (there's a copy in the directory itself). 2) Back in the rogue directory, you should find the progs.dat is in the directory instead. Rename it to progs2.dat (this is so that we have a pristine copy and don't have to reinstall the mission pack if we want to play the original). 3) Finally, unzip the progs.dat from this file into the directory.
