Maps : Yes (they are contained in maxxmaps.zip which should be available where you got this) Description of the Modification ------------------------------- New features: -chasecam! -swinging grappling hook! -skrags are now laser drones, and the gibbed parts of it are appropriate. -grunts are now storm troopers, and the use the imp laser (nailgun). -enforcers now fire rockets. -multiple skins for the player. (Fett, Storm Trooper, Luke, Bossk, etc). -all the weapons except the double barreled shotgun have a new skin or mdl. -weapons now have the appropriate model when they are placed in the stage. -new enforcer skin, now he is a storm trooper on steroids. -new skin for grunts (a better storm trooper skin). -check out the Hellknight, looks a lot like darth now. -gibbed storm trooper heads for the enforcers now too. -you no longer get the imp laser when you kill the storm troopers, just some cells, and when you kill the Rocket Trooper, you no longer get a rocket launcher, just the rockets. -replaced the hand grenades with thermal detonators, they detonate when you press P. -added a really sweet Star Wars Quake background for the console. -added a new kick ass Boba Fett skin as the default player skin. It kicks ass! -put the right skin on the grenades that you hold while in first person view.(needs some work) -imp laser now animates properly. -changed the color of the laser bolts from blue to green. (may change it again) -improved the grenade toss mdl. -raised the height of the grenades and the force lightning pickup models. (the ones found in the stage) -beginning to add proper gibs for all of the creatures, the Laser Droid is done, the Rocket trooper will be soon, as will the normal storm trooper, and Darth is coming along well. -new idle sound for Vader, as well as a new saber swing sound. (replaced the Hell Knight ones) -will soon have a little droid which replaces the rottweiler. -new idle sound for laser droid, and a new attack sound for the shambler. -new creature, wookies! Not animated right now, but once I get a good model editor they will be. -added my first map today, it allows you to choose between the Quake level select level and my new star wars levels (they'll be added later). -took out the wookies because they sucked to much. (may be added again later). -replaced the wookies with the Blarg!, not animated quite right, but good enough for now. -replaced the old blaster rifle with a hand blaster. and added a new rifle that replaces the double barreled. -added ambient sounds in the level select map. -replaced the old selection stage with a small compact hall. -S1M1 is complete. -More gibbed parts for the rocket trooper. -Added an even better Fett skin. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Extract to a directory called SW under your Quake directory. Play by typing Quake -game SW, also if you are upgrading from a past version of this partial conversion, delete the old pak1.pak file it's now useless and just taking up space. Keys ---- B-activates the chase cam Y,U-change the height of the chasecam view J,K-change the distance from the player H-switches between the different targeting icons in the chasecam view A-activates and deactivates the grappling hook L-swings the light saber, even when you have another weapon activated. also there are some other things that certain keys do but I don't remember them right now.
