Difference Engine License

Legal issues are a necessary evil. If you are reading the sources provided under the Difference Engine License, you will find a notice like this:

There is a preliminary version of the DEL based on the POVLEGAL license, which I am still thinking about (being no lawyer myself). It is a difficult problem how to support free propagation of ideas and knowledge, while avoiding being ripped off, and somehow ensuring a way to earn a living.
