Fucked up the landing - still : haven't complete that particular mission to this date. You're not the only one. According to info on Compuserve, Digital Integration is planning a patch to make the SAM's less deadly--but still destructive. They'll allow for a proximity hit, thereby damaging some systems but not nuking the whole plane. There's no time frame given for the upgrade, but someone one Compuserve who has been relaying messages to DI states that DI has said the upgrade would be out "real soon now," even in a matter of days. We'll see. Anyway, at least they're talking about upgrading. -- Joel Murray / Vancouver, British Columbia / Canada, Eh? I had really hoped I could figure this out, but after two weeks and a fair amount of research I have to admit failure... What is a 'flat turn'? AW shows graphs and numbers for this animal, but I haven't figured out what it is and why it is useful. What is the value of the 'maximum speed in a flat turn'? I guessed that a flat turn was one without banking (level wings and rudder), but why would there be a maximum speed (other than airframe/power considerations)? Is this just a measure of the effectiveness of the rudder? Do they really mean 'minimum speed'? Thanks for any help.... I sent my registration to DI 4 weeks ago and still have heard nothing from them. What's about You? My question about the patch Joel Murray wrote of is: where will it be avilable? If it would be available to registered users only: see above :-( Joerg "Dancer" Stenger ------------------------------- [[ End of digest Volume 1 : Issue 23 ]]
