Author Info : Description : Its night, you're in a dark graveyard, you're surrounded by imps, and all you've got for defence is your pistol.... Things don't look good, but perhaps that light in the distance offers sanctuary... Thus begins GRAVEYD.WAD, 3 new levels for DOOM I, designed for single player, with lots of attention to theme, detail, and architecture, and runable on low end systems! Additional Credits to : Id, and the creators of DCK =========================================================================== * Type of DOOM or DOOM II file* New level WAD for DOOM I * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E3M1, E3M2, E3M3 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (not tested) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (not tested) Difficulty Settings : Yes, all difficulties implemented New Sounds : No New Music : No New Graphics : Yes, one: SKY3, taken from UAC_DEAD.WAD, an awesome WAD by Leo Martin Lim, who credited 'the author of nightfal' for the sky texture. Editor(s) used : DCK 2.0, DCK 2.2 Known Bugs : In one place I've noticed a stray vertical line if you're standing in just the right spot, but it shouldn't affect play. NOTE: If you change the levels to a different episode but don't change the new sky texture appropriately, some things will look very strange! May Not Run With... : * More info on the levels * E3M1: The Graveyard E3M2: Beyond the Gate, Part I E3M3: Beyond the Gate, Part II Why 3 levels? This was originally conceived as a single level, but when I finished the first part it had become quite large (due to detail, not actually a large map), so I made the second half a new level. Unfortunately the second half got even bigger, to the extent where it wasn't really playable on my system (see below), so I split this part into 2 levels. Why not a whole episode?! Maybe one day... or in 3-level installments :-) (OTOH I might try some DOOM II levels next...) These levels were designed and playtested on my 386DX-33 with 8MB RAM, using a full Doom screen (with status bar), and low graphics detail, so speed shouldn't be a problem on most Doom-able systems. There are multiplayer starts and some extra weapons, but these haven't been tested. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors MAY use this level as a base to build additional levels (just give me credit).
