================ FOR DOOM 1 =========================================== Title : NEVER.WAD Author : Brian Martin Email Address : brian@minerva.phyast.pitt.edu Misc. Author Info : Working hard on Die Hard Doom (DHD), It will kick some serious ass! All new everything (almost). Favorite, must have, wads: freedom.wad (in freeblud.zip) castevil.wad sase1m1.wad outpost21.wad cheese.wad Description : A really cool castle wad. NEVER is a REAL challenge in UV. There are some tough secrets to find, and there are tons of baddies. Death matchers should have a blast as well as singles. So what's the description? Get the wad and check it out! Compared to other 'non-linear' levels, this one is really non-linear. It's also pretty well inter-connected for DM after all the secrets are found. It features the Death Room, a cool outside area where you can jump all over the place, a multi-leveled maze type thing, and the dreaded caco-lair! No stupid switch puzzels or death traps. A straight forward ass kick'n wad. Story : Clear the castle of baddies. Additional Credits to : deu makers, doom makers, dozer, cooter, pee, and becky ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E1M1 Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes Difficulty Settings : Yes, UV=VERY HARD (may have to use fists) HMP=HARD, but very doable, plenty of ammo The first 2 easy ones are the same = easy New Sounds : Yes (death (Tombstone movie) & shotgun (Unforgiven movie) - from my tombstone.wad, vaporware) New Music : Yes (FM by steely dan, I got this off of the midi newsgroup, thumbs up to the person who did it, it's in a separate wad with the sound, so you can junk it) New Graphics : Yes (sky1) Demos Replaced : Nope * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : 20 minutes or so. ;) Editor(s) used : deu (and gcc port), RMB, dmmusic, dmaud, neopaint, bsp, midi2mus, dmgraph Known Glitches : minor texture misalignments in maze like area * NOTES * There are some teleporters to help get around quicker, (the magician uses these to impress folks) There are a couple of beserks hidden, so find em and go fist crazy! There is also a comp map. I intentionally did a 'no no': There are quite a few big bad monsters in the death room. They can all be killed in HMP pretty easily, but UV is a romp. The mote has teleporters on the ends (in case you fall in on the right side, there is an exit on the left). Lastly, the yellow skull key is there! You don't need it or the blue to finish, but they can make things interesting. At the end of this doc is a hint for finding the yellow key. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may use this level as a base to build additional levels if and only if they give appropriate credit.
