============================================================================= Title : Urban Driveby Filename : udriveby.bsp Version : 1.0 [dated:7/31/97] Description : This is a new track for QuakeRally. The city textures are so overused it really isn't funny. It's been designed with netplay and 486's in mind, but the ammo in the level is sparse.. watch your aim. No RL either, due to a bug in QuakeRally where the game doesn't accecelrate on certain angled surfaces and you keep a constant speed.. visicous cycle with the RL. Everyone that has played this map though it was uber-good, so something has to be right. Note: this map hasn't really been tested for netplay. I'm probably gonna either make this a pure racing map or fix it up, but the map speed is cool for netplay [r_speeds below 200, there's a sight. Co-author [with about 20 other people] of Memento Mori 2. Also a level designer on the ManyWorlds project. Yeah, this is my first publically released map for Quake, tough crumbs. Additional help : hmm.. none with the map... for QuakeRally.. impact.frag.com/rally/ might be a good place to go. I'd like to state that the copyright of the id textures still lies at id Software and credit should go to Kevin Cloud and Adrian Carmack! * If you want to put Urban Driveby/QuakeRally on a CD * You are *NOT* allowed to commercially exploit this map, e.g. put it on a CD that is sold for money without my explicit handwritten(!) permission! Don't even think about mailing me something like "we want to include your work on our CD, if you don't reply until a certain date we will take this as your permission"! Don't laugh, I've seen this before... Sorry if the above sounds a bit harsh, but I don't want any level-author to be screwed by CD publishers like Actura again. Most companies are fair, and if you are one of these companies don't hesitate to e-mail me for further distribution information. Don't forget to mail Impact too, as you're in violation of their copyright too if you illegaly distribute this CD. * If you want to use any of the recources for your own works * Authors may NOT use these levels as a base to build additional levels. Fin. * Distribution * You are welcome to freely distribute Urban Driveby or QuakeRally on a non-commercial base, provided you do not change anything and leave the ZIP intact. That includes the Internet, FIDO etc. - every media that can be accessed without paying for it. I'm sorry Matthias, but I had to rip your copyright statement. I'm a lazy fool. Good luck with your ritual/customs mess. =) -=[ Where to get this PAK ]=- ftp.cdrom.com and mirror sites.
